In a tweet on Monday, President Donald Trump announced that U.S. Attorney General William Barr will be resigning effective December 23rd.  Barr became U.S. Attorney General following the resignation of Jeff Sessions.   Barr’s tenure was having to deal with the Russian collusion investigation, his appointment of U.S. attorney John Durham as special counsel looking into the origins of what precipitated the the Russian collusion narrative by the DOJ and the FBI.  Other controversial investigation Barr had dealt with were the Michael Flynn matter, and the Hunter Biden probe were just a few of the controversial cases.
