President-elect Joe Biden has just received congratulations for winning the U.S. presidency from Russian President Vladimir Putin.  This comes one day after the Electoral College officially confirmed that he had in fact won the 2020 presidential election by securing the 270 electoral votes needed to become the President of the United States.
