Wednesday’s, Republican debate should be interesting, because for the first time, billionaire businessman Donald Trump is not the leader in a national poll, as Ben Carson has vaulting into the top spot.

The question now, how does Trump handle the demotion from being number one, as his entire campaign has been built as he say’s on “winning,” and now he has been knocked off his perch!

He thought Jeb Bush was boring how does he handle the low key persona of Ben Carson? Will Trump attack Carson right out of the gate or will he engage in substantive rhetorical policy debates?

Throughout this campaign, Trump attacks anyone he perceives as a challenger to him, but not on policy, but on anything he deems appropriate at the time. So this should be an interesting debate.

The debate will be sponsored by CNBC, and moderated by Carl Quintanilla, Becky Quick, and John Harwood, with the undercard candidate debate at 6 PM, followed by the main event at 8 PM.

The first debate at 6 PM will feature Rick Santorum, Bobby Jindal, George Pataki, and Lindsey Graham.  The real show begins at 8 PM, with Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, John Kasich and finally Carly Fiorina.

Now the other aspect of this debate, will the moderators focus on domestic issues like in the Democratic debate or will the emphasis again be on foreign policy? Even if the moderators focus on foreign policy, the candidates need to understand the public is more concerned with the plight of the U.S. economy.

We will just have to see how this debate moves forward.
