You would never know it from the media coverage, but in recent weeks multiple crises have seemed to overwhelm the Biden administration that includes the economy, the migrant surge at the U.S. southern border, the recent hack of Colonial pipeline, and finally the situation in the Middle East.

The one issue that most American’s are concerned the most about is the U.S. economy. After the economic collapse of the economy due to the forced shutdown, many economists were expecting April’s job report to show massive job creation to the tune of close to a million jobs being created.

Unfortunately, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that only 266,000 jobs were created promulgating one of the worst job’s reports in several generations.  Day’s after this report was released the Consumer Price Index increased 4.2% in a seasonally adjusted average, the largest increase in decades.

Many blame including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on the $300 per week federal jobless benefits that encourage Americans to stay home rather than seek employment. Market Watch reported that there were 8.1 million jobs to fill, but small businesses in all sectors cannot find enough people to fill them.

President Biden and his administration strongly downplayed this narrative, with the president stating, “People will come back to work if they’re paid a decent wage,” Mr. Biden said in an address on the economy at the White House. “My expectation is that, as our economy comes back, these companies will provide fair wages and safe work environments. And if they do, they’ll find plenty of workers.”

With all the challenges faced by small businesses, the president in shaming them for not paying a decent wage to their employees thus wanting them to pay over $15 as many progressives have advocated. This is ironic coming from a president who spent a lifetime in government service and never owned a business, to tell businesses what they should pay their employee’s.

With this dismal job’s report, the president and Democrats have doubled down on the need to pass Biden’s American Jobs and Families Plans.

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued a statement, “The disappointing April jobs report highlights the urgent need to pass President Biden’s American Jobs and Families Plans.  We need to take bold action to Build Back Better from this crisis by investing in our nation, our workers and our families.”

Pelosi continued, “House Democrats are already at work developing strong jobs legislation, which will create millions of good-paying jobs revitalizing our nation’s infrastructure and laying the foundation for a generation of economic growth.  As we see continued evidence that women and working parents have been hit hardest in the economy, we must invest in human infrastructure with the American Families Plan which strengthens the childcare and early education support that families need: children learning, parents earning.

“As we build on the progress of the historic Rescue Plan, Democrats in Congress hope to work in a bipartisan spirit to Build Back Better.  However, the evidence is clear that the economy demands urgent action, and Congress will not be deterred or delayed from delivering transformational investments For the People.”

Many individuals view the polices of the Biden administration as eerily similar to the stagflation of the 1970’s with the easy monetary policies of the Federal Reserve of low interest rates, massive governmental spending, and low supply of goods chased by high demand.

The Biden administration is still perusing a massive tax increase which again is eerily similar to policies pursued by President Roosevelt in the mid-1930’s were America was coming out of the Great Depression, but the Roosevelt administration raised massive taxes on corporations and individuals which contributed to the recession of 1937.

The Biden administration is not only dealing with a struggling economy but is faced with hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants crossing across the U.S. southern border.  Customs and Border Patrol agency has encountered 178,000 illegal migrants entering the United States in the month of April which was up from the 172,000 that crossed in March.

President Biden has put Vice President Kamala Harris as the administrations point person, but so far, she has yet to visit the border or hold any press conferences on the issue. At this point the administration has reversed almost all of the President Trump’s initiatives to secure the border, but instead of making things better it has been made substantially worse.

One of President Biden’s signature issues has been to focus on “climate change” and ending U.S. reliance on fossil fuels. Since becoming president, Biden has cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline, had his administration issue environmental policies which have curtailed U.S. oil production, reversing many of Trump’s policies in making America energy independent.

In the months that followed fuel prices have begun to rise then a Russian hacking group called the “Darkside” initiated a cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline, resulting in various states on the eastern seaboard declaring a state of emergency as result of shortages at gas stations.

Gas prices spiked, with many analysists liking the current scenario to the gas lines and shortages of the 1970’s.

President Biden stated, “I’m going to have a conversation, I’m going to be meeting with President Putin,” Biden said. “And, so far, there is no evidence based on, from our intelligence people, that Russia is involved, although there is evidence that the actor’s ransomware is in Russia. They have some responsibility to deal with this.”

Many national security experts seriously doubt that Putin had no knowledge of this when he knows everything and anything that goes on in Russia. Why has Biden gone soft on Putin?

Finally, the situation in the Middle East with Israel and Hamas tangling with each other over the terror organizations firing of rockets into the Jewish state. President Biden didn’t respond for day’s then reaffirmed that Israel’s right to defend itself. This met a strong reaction from the progressive wing of his party who openly criticized Israel’s disproportional response.

Since Biden came into office, we have witnessed Russia massing troops on the border with Ukraine, China openly harassing Taiwan, North Korea launching more missiles, Iran harassing U.S. naval shipping, and now the current situation in Gaza.

Biden seems to miss the adage from President Washington when he addressed Congress, ”the surest way to preserve peace is to prepare for war.”

With all the challenges faced by the president he has never been challenged on his responses or his comments by the media. Nor has he held a press conference since his last one in March.

Are we witnessing President Carter 2.0, or are events overwhelming President Biden?
