Far too long the Immigration crisis has been confined mainly to the U.S. southern border, but this has all changed as border state governors have now been sending illegal migrants to American cities across the country.

Many have faulted these border state governors for sending illegal migrants into their states and cities, but they believed this was the only way for the media to cover the crisis and for the Biden administration to finally secure the border. The irony is that all these Democratic states and cities openly and unequivocally proclaimed they will accept any and all migrants.

Now that illegal migrants have been bused into their communities these same Democratic political leaders who strongly advocated proudly how they are a sanctuary city and state are now stating a far different tune.

In a recent town hall New York City Mayor Eric Adams stated, “This issue will destroy New York City, destroy New York City. We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month. Now again, people from all over the globe have made their minds up that they’re going to come through the southern part of the border and come into New York City.”

Even when interviewed on PBS, he mention that this is a national issue and should be not be the sole responsibility of one city to handle it alone.

“One thing, we need to be extremely clear… This is unfair to migrants, it’s unfair to New York City residents. It is unfair to this entire country when you’re looking at what’s happening in big cities across America. Chicago just acknowledging they’re moving their migrants out of police precincts and into tents. The same thing you’re seeing in Los Angeles in other parts. El Paso, Brownsville, this is just wrong. And what we believe the federal government could do is just simply one have a real decompression strategy all over the entire country so cities are not absorbing this issue. And particularly in those areas when you’re having these major concerns, there should be a state of emergency that the federal government is calling to make sure that we are getting the support to the cities right away.”

This crisis in entirely self-inflected as back in June 2019, during the first Democratic presidential debate every candidate to include Joe Biden raised their hand that if elected president their health care plan would cover illegal immigrants.

This message went out throughout Latin America and the world that you could come to America illegally and would receive all kinds of benefits and would not be sent back.

Biden outlined his “surge the border” policy in a 2019 Democrat presidential debate and question by reporter Jorge Ramos. Once elected Biden actually did it.

Ramos: “Are you prepared to say tonight that you and President (Barack) Obama made a mistake (on deportations)? Why should Latinos trust you?”

Biden answered by criticizing Donald Trump’s handling of migrants at the border, defending Obama’s, and adding:

“I would in fact make sure that there is, that we immediately surge to the border — all those people are seeking asylum. They deserve to be heard,” Biden said. “That’s who we are. We’re a nation that says, ‘If you want to flee and you’re fleeing oppression, you should come.’”

Every Democrat elected official across the country where tipping over themselves on who could be the most welcoming to all illegal immigrants, which included providing benefits to all illegal immigrants who entered the country.

Ironically back in October 2021, Mayor Adams Tweeted that “We should protect our immigrants, and yes, New York City will remain a sanctuary city policy under an Adams administration.”

Back in June, Los Angeles City Council advanced a motion declaring the city a “sanctuary” city, prohibiting “city resources, property, or personnel from being utilized for any federal immigration enforcement, and related matters.”

But now Democratic Mayor Karen Bass is sounding a different tune on illegal immigration.

“It is evil to endanger the lives of vulnerable migrants by sending a bus with families and toddlers on board to a city that at the time was under an unprecedented tropical storm warning,” Bass said in the statement. “As I stood with state and local leaders warning Angelenos to stay safe and brace themselves for the worst of the coming storm, the Governor of Texas sent families and toddlers straight for us on a path through extreme weather conditions.”

Democrats for years have advocated for sanctuary status for their cities and states, making promises to illegal immigrants as an official stated party agenda, but in reality they have no intention of making or keeping.

It was fine when the crisis with illegal immigration was solely confined to the border states, even the Biden administration could care less about millions of individuals streaming across the U.S. southern border because every Democrat supported open border polices.

When the issues of illegal immigration was confined to Republican border states such as Texas, Florida and Arizona, who spent billions on the mass wave impacting their states, no one in the media, the Democratic Party or the Biden administration cared.

The Biden administration placed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Border Czar, but she has done virtually nothing on the issue, only visiting the southern border once.

This changed when the border state governors decided to change the dynamics by sending the migrants to the same cities and states who advocated sanctuary status, and make them feel the impact firsthand what they have been dealing with.

Many have called this a political stunt, but this action by these Republican, what else could they have done when Democrats fuel the crisis by rewarding illegal immigrants with all manner of benefits and the added caveat of not being returned back to their country of origin.

Even federal courts have ruled that states cannot act unilaterally on stopping illegal immigration as this is solely the responsibility of the federal government.

Since Biden assumed the presidency he abolished all border controls which provided for the lowest illegal migrant entry into the U.S. in decades, since he took office over 7 million illegal immigrants have entered the United States.

Biden has done virtually nothing except appropriate more funding to process more illegal immigrants into the U.S., often chastising Republican governors for doing preciously what he has done since elected.

To all the people in these Democratic cities and states elections have consequences as you voted over the years for these same politicians who championed sanctuary policies, well the old adage, “Elections have Consequences.”

This will only get worse until Democrats and President Biden get serious about securing the U.S. southern border, but a question remains, what happens when winter comes to these cities?
