Since Biden assumed the presidency he has failed to confront Iran, but since the horrific Oct 7th terror attack inside Israel this should have changed, but unfortunately this hasn’t happened.

Iran is the chief benefactor for Hamas, Hezbollah and every other terrorist organization in the Middle East, and the attack on Israel couldn’t have been planned nor financed without Iranian involvement.

This failure to confront Iran has its origins in the Obama presidency, the very individuals who served in that administration now have senior level positions in the Biden White House, and this includes the president himself who served as Vice President under President Obama.

Just examine the comments made by former President Obama on Oct. 23, in a 1,130-word statement, calling for Israeli restraint. Now, on the “Pod Save America” podcast, Mr. Obama counsels “an admission of complexity.” In a part of the interview released Saturday, Mr. Obama says: “What Hamas did was horrific and there’s no justification for it. And what is also true is that the occupation and what’s happening to Palestinians is unbearable.” To get to the full truth, “you then have to admit nobody’s hands are clean, that all of us are complicit to some degree.” He adds: “As hard as I tried—I have the scars to prove it—but there’s a part of me that’s still saying, ‘Well, was there something else I could have done?’ ”

What occupation is Obama speaking of, Israel hasn’t been in Gaza since 2005, it is totally controlled by Hamas who have received billions over the years but instead of helping the Palestinians they use the revenue for strictly terror activities.

Now the Obama/Biden administration created the very condition that led to this horrific attack on October 7th by catering and acquiescing to Iran. Once Obama assumed the presidency and with Biden as his Vice President they earnestly began rapprochement with Iran and begun starting to negotiate a nuclear deal with Tehran to prevent that country from acquiring a nuclear weapon which was eventually signed in 2015.

The Obama/Biden presidency did not care about all the nefarious actions perpetrated by Iran, as long as they were able to achieve that coveted nuclear agreement.

Once the agreement was signed in 2015, the Obama/Biden presidency then sent Iran $1.7 billion in cash, released over $100 billion in frozen assets, and unleashed Iranian industry to be used for Tehran’s nefarious actions across the Middle East. This included arming Hamas and Hezbollah!

The Obama/Biden presidency primary objective was to remove the U.S. from the region in its failed pivot toward Asia, thus leaving Iran as the regional hegemony all at the expense of our allies. Instead of using sanction relief and the additional revenue obtained to help its citizenry, Tehran used it to fund their proxy forces of Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, support the murderous dictator in Syria, and other terror organizations throughout the Middle East region.

Examine the other policies of the Obama/Biden administration which have led to this situation America now finds its self in. Does anyone remember when Obama drew his infamous “red line.” This was in reference that America would respond militarily if Syria moved or used chemical weapons against its own people.

Syria did in fact use chemical weapons against their own people, and Obama blinked and had his bluff called, his failure led Russia back into the Middle East for the first time in forty years, from which they have never left.

Russia’s re-entry into the Middle East only benefited and propped up Syrian Dictator Bashar al-Assad who is aligned with Iran which utilizes Syria as a supply and weapons hub that sends this into Lebanon and to Hamas in Gaza. The Wall Street Journal has reported that Russia plans to give Hezbollah a sophisticated air defenses to be used in Lebanon, and Syria which is a key Hezbollah staging ground and transit point for Iranian weapons.

The Obama/Biden administration pulled out of Iraq prematurely in 2011, only to have Iran-backed militias fill the void. This vacuum allowed ISIS, which the president had dismissed as the “JV team,” establish itself, was slow to address the threat posed by the terror group. This failure by Obama/Biden led Tehran supported proxy forces to attack U.S. forces.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Israel had an early chance to destroy Hamas in the 2008-09 Gaza war, but the incoming Obama administration signaled its displeasure. Israel stopped short, declaring a unilateral cease-fire. That only prepared the next war, in 2014, but overthrowing Hamas wasn’t even on the table with Mr. Obama in the White House.

America’s policy toward Iran changed with the Trump administration that pulled the U.S. out of the nuclear agreement with Tehran placed crippling economic sanctions on the Islamic Republic, and drove down energy prices with American energy production thus starving the country of much needed revenue. This economic strangulation of Iran prevented Tehran from funding its proxy forces in Hamas and Hezbollah who were basically cash strapped of funding.

Unlike the Obama administration, one of the strongest messages sent to Iran was the Trump administration targeted killing of Qasem Soleimani who was the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force commander in January 2020.

Once Biden assumed the presidency he reversed every aspect of Trumps polices toward Iran by allowing Tehran to sell oil on the open market to obtain much needed revenue. Much of this oil sale went to China.

Biden continued the failed Obama era strategy of believing that there were reformers in the Iranian government and relaxed economic sanctions, unfroze billions in assets from which they were able to fund their proxy forces in Hamas and Hezbollah.

It has now been over a month since the horrific attack on Israel and still the Biden refuses to confront Iran, the question is why won’t the Biden administration confront Iran?
