The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has always prided itself as being the world’s premier law enforcement agency, but that image has been tarnished by the Bureau’s own actions over the years and is now seen as conducting one-sided political investigations.

The recent raid by the FBI on former President Donald Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, which was the first time in U.S. history that a former president’s home has been raided, placed the image of the FBI into question as it deliberately placed the rule of law into question.

The central element of the FBI’s raid on Trump’s home was the allegation the former president had classified documents on the premise.  The question why was Trump treated differently than past presidents?

There seemed to be a dispute with the federal achieves regarding presidential records, but the FBI didn’t raid President Obama’s home when he refused to turn records over and even spent $30 million dollars resisting efforts to do so.

Even President Bush issued an executive order to prevent the release of records that he didn’t want to be released, but there was no raid, but why is Trump treated differently?

Even former Attorney General Eric Holder in the Obama administration who was found in contempt of Congress for not turning over documents regarding the “Fast and Furious” investigation, no raid conducted on his residence.

I know Trump stirs up the passion on both sides of the political spectrum as some loathe him and others praise him, but either way the former president deserves the same constitutional protection that everyone else is afforded. Remember this was done in the same period as the recent passage of the “Inflation Reduction Act” which is now going to have the IRS adding 87,000 additional auditors. If they can go after Trump they can go after you, will you have the financial resources to defend yourself?

Just examine how the FBI treated the investigation of Hillary Clinton.  In the summer of 2016, then FBI Director James Comey detailed numerous crimes that anyone else would have been prosecuted on her handling of classified material.  After he stated she broke numerous laws Comey then announced that “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring charges by stating that no “intent” was present. Considering this was a made up law by Comey.

The entire FBI investigation of Clinton and her team was handled far different by the Bureau giving her and her associates every due diligence, far different then how Trump and his team was treated.

Can you trust the FBI to submit a warrant that has not been altered or evidence changed and have that same warrant submitted to a federal judge. This is what happened to Trump aid Carter Page, when the FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith altered a warrant by falsifying evidence then lying to a federal judge about its authenticity in order to gain a surveillance warrant.

Even the Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz pulled 29 random Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and found there was minimal or no evidence to secure a surveillance warrant. Do you trust the FBI?

What about all the cell phones that were mysteriously wiped clean with no plausible explanation on what happened, this after subpoena’s issued? Still trust the FBI?

What about the partisan FBI investigators and legal counsel of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, in how they conducted the Clinton investigation compared to how they investigated Trump? Still trust the FBI?

Examine the last four FBI Directors, just this month we had current Director Christopher Wray, failed to answer and of the question posed to him by Senators, then stated he had pressing business and had to leave early from his testimony, but flew on an taxpayer FBI plane to his vacation home. Still trust the FBI?

Does anyone remember Andrew McCabe who lied four times to federal investigators, never mentioned that his wife was running for elected office in Virginia aided by Clinton-related PAC money, even when he was investigating Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. Still trust the FBI?

Then there is James Comey, who leaked confidential memos written on FBI devices to the media just to secure a special counsel investigation on President Trump.  Even when Comey was called before Congress he stated over two hundred and forty-five occasions, he said he didn’t know or didn’t remember.  Would you be able to do this if you were audited by the IRS? Still trust the FBI?

What about Robert Mueller, who led the entire special counsel investigation over Russian collusion which Trump was alleged to be involved in which was predicated on two false premises, first being the fake Steele dossier and the disingenuous Clinton-hired disinformation firm of Fusion GPS, when asked under oath knew nothing of both. Still trust the FBI?

All this coming from individuals who have warned us about “democracy dies and darkness,” this same group and cohorts are the very ones who are our greatest threat to Democracy! Still trust the FBI?

Remember Justice should be blind not one sided!
