At the beginning of the presidency of Joe Biden, America was energy independent, then his administration did everything in his power to change this dichotomy, and now he will travel to the Middle East with tin cup in hand begging countries in the region to produce more energy in order to drive down gas prices.

What happened and how did America get to this point, why do we have to beg other countries, especially autocratic nations to supply the nation’s energy needs, when the U.S. who once was energy independent has the ability to secure its own energy needs.

Prior to becoming president, Biden campaigned that if elected president he would end fossil fuels as we know it, and transition America to alternative energy.

True to his word, Biden on his first day in office canceled the Keystone XL pipeline, ended permitting and leases on federal lands, placed Alaska National Wildlife Reserve off limits, and a host of other anti-energy policies to include restricting capital to the fossil fuel industry.

Examples abound on why alternative energy, such as wind and solar don’t work and can’t be the primary source of a nation’s energy needs.

One only has to look at Europe, which uses far more alternative energy to power its economy, unfortunately they jettisoned its traditional fossil fuel for its energy needs, and now they are beholden to Russia.

Because of Biden who has adopted the progressive policies of Europe and the far radical elements in the Democratic Party, Americans are paying record prices for gas, as gas prices are averaging around $5 a gallon, and diesel prices averaging $6.

With gas prices surging, inflation has escalated to a forty year high, and Biden’s only response is to lecture Americans that they need to buy an electric car, incidentally they cost on average around $55,000.

The president’s own White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated during a recent press conference that America needs to refine more oil and gas and there is no need to pump more.

What is missing from Jean-Pierre’s comments and that seems oblivious to the White House, refineries are already at full capacity, and that the United States has not built a major new refinery since 1976, even right now refineries are being regulated out of existence.

Where is Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg who spends more time lecturing the nation about everything else except rising gas prices and his only answer is we just need to buy an electric car. Question: what will power’s electric cars?

Even Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm who didn’t even know how many barrels of oil America consumes everyday then laughs at any suggestion of increasing U.S. energy output.

What is Biden’s answer to surging gas prices is to tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve which he did two previous time last fall, and then more recently in March, to release one million barrels per day. This so far has had a negligible impact on energy prices.

This was never more evident in the past two months as gas prices surged to record highs.

Currently the president is traveling to the G-7/NATO summit in Europe all the while the president is continuing his call for alternative energy policies to reduce high energy costs, this after Germany has abandoned green technology and re-opening coal fire plants.

After the summit concludes, Biden travels to the Middle East, where he will ask OPEC nations and especially Saudi Arabia to produce more energy in the effort to reduce gas prices at home.

Biden has even sent a high ranking national security delegation to Venezuela, to persuade that country to increase energy production, while simultaneously may lift various sanctions murderous dictator Nicolás Maduro who runs that country.

Why allow authoritative countries to increase energy production when you can create jobs here in America, so we are less dependent on others, and can refine much cleaner.

If you are for climate change, then Biden would be against all forms of fossil fuel, not just in America?

Even before Biden left for Europe, he often touts that he is doing all he can to reduce gas prices, but is he?

Days before leaving he met with wind generation companies at the White House, but refused to meet with the top fossil fuel companies, instead had his energy secretary meet with them separately at a different location away from the White House.

The president’s own policies, supported by the Democratic Party, are causing enormous pain for Americans and he continues to double down on these failed policies hoping for a different result.

The only result for Americans is higher gas prices, higher food prices and shortages of key consumer items, and shrinking budgets.

I guess this is what Biden means, about Build Back Better, for everyone else except America!
